"This visit is planned in line with Iranian science and technology diplomacy of helping technology companies and start-ups to enter regional and international markets in order to develop new businesses," said Dr. Abbas Ghanbari Bagestan, the Advisor of Communication and International Affairs, during the course of this visit.
"Mali is a developing country and demands our help, especially in the fields of innovation and technology," added Ghanbari Bagestan. "On the other hand, initiating relations with this country in this field would become a model for Iran's future cooperation with other African countries."
"This meeting could be effectively in line with the aim of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in different fields, including education, technology and innovation," he continued.
the Advisor of Communication and International Affairs clarified that in the course of this visit by Mali's diplomatic delegation, the potentials of the ICT Park were discussed for developing international cooperation in order to provide new services and capacities, such as setting up a technology park in Mali, training human resources for working in this Park and also establishing innovation centers in this country.
He mentioned that the day before, the members of this delegation visited the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Park and negotiated with the officials of the Park, adding that in the ongoing visit, the members of this delegation were introduced to Iranian companies, including the Nitech Park, the Pishgaman Fara-Resaneh Soroush Company, the Hamayeshsazan Ashena Institute, the White Designers Company, Firoozeh Animation Company, the Ramoz Startup and the Pouyseno Startup in the two ICT Park branches which are located in Mashhad.
Ghanbari Bagestan also remarked that the participants in this visit included Mahmoud Mohammad, the Asia-Pacific Director-General of Mali's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Taleshi Salehani, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mali; Maiga Mahmoud Barazi, the Embassy Secretary of the Republic of Mali in Tehran.
The Mashhad Branch of ICT Park was established in 2019. This park provides 3,000 square meters of infrastructure, including a 10 story building for its associate companies.
