The Feasibility Assessment Meeting for Establishing a Smart Greenhouse for UPM was Held at ICT Park

ICT Park's PR: In a meeting with the presence of the design advisor and technical experts of ICT Park's Smart Greenhouse as well as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Industry of University of Putra Malaysia, required conditions and possibility of establishing a smart greenhouse in this Malaysian university were explored.

In this meeting, which was held with the presence of senior officials of ICT Park, as well as a delegation from the Universiti Putra Malaysia, Dr. Salehi, the Advisor for designing ICT Park's Smart Greenhouse based on IoT technology gave detailed explanations about the different phases of ICT Park Smart Greenhouse development.
Referring to the competitive advantages of ICT Park's IoT Greenhouse in comparison with other similar foreign examples, Dr. Salehi presented a detailed report on the technical characteristics of this greenhouse, including the area under cultivation, the possibility of planting different types of seeds, ways  to transplant products,  intelligent network management mechanism of the greenhouses, the conditions of seed of storage,  stages of  planting and maintaining them, the amount of water consumption, fruit-picking robot, and the increased productivity of each crop in this greenhouse.
In this meeting, Prof. Hang Tuah Baharudin,  Deputy Vice-Chancellor of industry at Universiti Putra Malaysia, who was accompanied by Dr. Loh Teck Chwen,  Dean of Putra University's Faculty of Agriculture; Prof. Mohd Nizam Osman, the Director of UPM's Community Development Center, and Ahmad Farhan Ab Karim, expressed his surprise at  ICT Park advanced technology regarding greenhouses and demanded the transfer of this technology to his home country.
"The request of Malaysia's government from universities is to focus on fields relevant to agriculture and food, including biosystem, biotechnology and other related subjects," he continued, referring to the existing food crisis and the challenges regarding food security. 
"Technologies such as the use of the Internet of Things can be a good field for cooperation between the two countries, and we at UPM are ready to host your technical experts to assess the possibility of setting up an identical smart greenhouse in our university," Prof. Hang Tuah Baharudin pointed out, indicating the progress that Malaysia has made in agriculture in recent years.
It should be noted that besides the design advisor and technical experts of ICT Park's greenhouse, Dr. Abbas Ghanbari Bagestan, Advisor for ICT Park Communication and International Affairs, and Dr. Farhad Sanjarifard, Head of ICT Park's Cluster and Labs, were also present in this meeting.
At the end of this meeting, the Malaysian academic delegation visited different sections of ICT Park's IoT Greenhouse, cultivation room, agricultural product transplant room, network management room and other sections.
 At the end of this meeting, about the feasibility of establishing a smart greenhouse in the Universiti Putra Malaysia, it was decided that this matter should be followed after being discussed with high-ranking officials on both sides which should finally result as a cooperation agreement between the two countries.
