The Director General of the African Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Visited the ICT Park
At the onset of the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Jafar Sadigh Damghanizadeh, Advisor to the Minister and the President of the ICT Park, while welcoming the guests, considered ICT Park as the first specialized, national and international Park under the auspices of the Ministry of ICT, among 40 other Parks in the country, and said: ICT Park is actually on the market side; which means what is important for us is the use of technology and the existence of technology in the form of the products, standards, etc.
Reviewing the history of the establishment and expansion of ICT Park, as well as introducing the provincial branches of the Park, he added: We plan to enter Africa. In the past months, we have held consultations and interactions with African countries, including the visit of the Minister of Science and Research of Mali to ICT Park, signing the memorandum of cooperation with Al-Ghazaleh Technopark in Tunisia, and the visit of the Senegalese Ambassador to the Information and Communication Technology Park, etc.
Emphasizing the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Council of Ministers in gaining a practical foothold in other countries, Dr. Sadigh Damghanizadeh stated: We are looking for a cooperation model for the penetration of technology and the establishment of a joint technology center. Moreover, we need to determine our target country in the African continent in order to maintain communications and information flow by exchanging delegations and extensive cooperation and making the most out of any relations in the target country to expand our work scope.
He also pointed to the importance of creating new methods based on the Resistance Economy Policy and stated: The two most important pillars of the resistance economy are reliance on the resources and strength from within and looking for internationalization. Hence, we must teach others what we know.
It is worth mentioning that at the end of the meeting, the managers of the General Directorate of Africa visited different parts of the ICT Park, including the Smart Greenhouse, Nour Behineh Gostar Middle East Co., and the Arg-e-Jadid Co., with the aim of getting to know ICT Park as much as possible.
In this visit, Mr. Mohammadi Nasrabadi, Director General of Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Rezaei (Head of the Third Office of Africa), Mr. Parvaresh (Desk manager of Senegal, Burkina Faso, Gambia, and Cape Verde), Mr. Givzad (Head of the Second Office of Africa) and Mr. Khosravinejad (Head of the Ofice of African Institutions) were present on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
