A Delegation of ICT Park Officials Travels to Republic of Mali in Africa

Returning Mali's Minister of Science and Research's visit during his last year’s trip to Iran, and due to Mali's request for setting up a University Technology Park in Bamako, this three-member delegation from Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Park will travel to Mali with the aim of providing consultation on establishing a joint innovation center in one of Mali's universities besides maintaining a joint office.
It is worth mentioning that on this trip, Dr. Mohammad Jafar Sadigh Damghanizadeh, the Advisor to the Minister and the President of ICT Park; Dr. Abbas Ghanbari Bagestan, the Consulter for ICT Park Communication and International Affairs, and Eng. Mohammad Ali Jafari, the Director of ICT Park’s Techno-units’ Development Center, will be present.
The intended plans for this trip include meeting Mali's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, visiting Kabala Bamako University, meeting Mali's Minister of Communications, Digital Economy and Modernization of Governmental Organizations, meeting the Head of National Research and Technology Center, visiting the Science and Technology Faculty of the Institute of Applied Science and Technology, meeting the Deputy-Minister of Mali's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, visiting the Rural Polytechnic Institute for Training and Applied Research, and signing a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between Mali's Ministry of Higher Education and Iran's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Park.
It should be mentioned that during the past two years, the prior agenda of ICT Park was concerned with developing ICT Park's international communication with the aim of developing a suitable market for ICT Park's associated companies.
Additionally, the development of international cooperation with African countries, especially Mali which is an intact region and a potential market for internationalization of ICT Park's associated technology companies has been strongly recommended by Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has been considered in ICT Park's agenda with higher priority since the middle of last year. In this regard, we can refer to the two prior visits that the Director-General of Asia and the Pacific in Mali's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has paid to ICT Park's Alborz and Mashhad branches, the virtual meeting between Dr. Sadigh Damghanizadeh and Mali's Minister of Communications, Digital Economy and Modernization of Governmental Organizations, and the visit of Mali's Minister of Science to ICT Park's Alborz and Mashhad branches.
