At the start of this meeting, Dr. Mohammad Jafar Sadigh Damghanizadeh welcomed the guests and mentioned the main task of techno Parks to be assisting the private sector progress in economic development and technology development: "If a company does not have economic or technological growth in ICT Park, or even a company's economic growth is only equal to Iran's economic growth rate, it cannot continue its activities in the Park," he said.
Introducing two ICT Park branches in Alborz and Mashhad, he announced the economic growth of Park's companies as 72% during Iran's calendar year of 1401: "This level of growth rate, which is based on tax returns, has been achieved despite the fact that Iran had zero percent of economic growth during this year.," he said.
He stated that in 1401, the companies introduced 40 new products and upgraded 65 other products: "This fact shows that the Park is alive; now we are trying to set up another branch of the Park in Fouldshahr, in Isfahan province," Dr. Sadigh Damghanizadeh indicated.
The Advisor to the Minister of Communications also mentioned ICT Park's branches in Zanjan, Sari, Semnan, Hormozgan, Kermanshahو and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari: "In these provinces, we provide fledgling teams who have innovative ideas a place to proceed their work. There, they can work for 6 months and if their ideas reach the level of product, they can establish a company," he said.
He went on to state that crediting provincial Parks through establishing growth centers, creating clusters and turning ideas into companies, and establishing companies in universities through university parks are ICT Park's three supporting axes. He also explained the progress made in the skill training development program throughout Iran: "ICT Park also has strong international connections focusing on Africa, and now we can claim that due to the undertaken action, ICT Park now has a strong foothold in Africa," he added.
In the end, the President of Information and Communication Technology Park emphasized the demand for a correct definition of a knowledge-based company as a company that spends 5-7% of its revenue annually on employing knowledge for developing its products: "In this regard, ICT Park has initiated a program for employing IOT in food security and in this regard, ICT Park aims to set up a network of small scale greenhouses all around Iran," he added.
In another part of this meeting, Mr. Mohammad Ehsan Kharamid, the Head of the Information and Public Relations Center in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, expressed his appreciation for visiting ICT Park: "Our purpose of visiting ICT Park was to present the high potentials of ICT Park to our colleagues because the complexes associated with the Ministry of Communications are required to have a proper and internal synergic familiraity with each so that they can benefit mutually from each other's capacities," he said.
"For each of the products introduced by ICT Park's companies, there is a potential for report coverage and detailed content productions for media. Additonally, the ICT Park's Mashhad branch is a wonderful treasure with a great atmosphere," he said.
