President of ICT Park: I would like to Announce my Readiness for Establishing Technology Parks in Mali
According to this report, the meeting attended by Dr. Mohammad Jafar Sadigh Damghanizadeh, Advisor to the Minister and President of ICT Park, and Mr. Hamadoun Touré, Minister of Communications, Digital Economy and Renovation of Mali’s State Apparatus, was held on the evening of Monday, 24 January 2022.
Dr. Mohammad Jafar Sadigh Damghanizadeh, Advisor to the Minister and President of the Information and Communications Technology Park, expressed his contentment and gratitude towards the holding of this meeting and presented a general introduction of the Park. He remarked, “The ICT Park is located in Alborz province in an area of 22 hectares and with about 60 active companies in the field of Communications, Digital Economy, and ICT. The Park’s Member Techno-companies have significant facilities and potentials in the field of Communications and Information Technology.”
The President of ICT Park pointed to the creativity in the creation of TOD Network in ICT Park and added, “In ICT Park we have a network of more than 30 Science and Technology Parks called the Digital Economy Development Network (TOD), with a large capacity for the expansion of the collaboration at an international level. Additionally, the Management Team of ICT Park has 20 years of experience in designing and setting up Parks in Iran. All of these factors can create and expand the grounds for cooperation between two countries.”
Dr. Mohammad Jafar Sadigh Damghnizadeh emphasized, “The ICT Park is ready to train and educate human forces, design and implement Technology Parks in Mali. Also, we can establish an Export Base, create and develop joint Techno-companies, hold joint seminars for the exchange of information, etc. Moreover, ICT Park’s companies are prepared to expand the activities related to the development of the communications network in Mali. On this basis, I would like to invite Mali’s Minister of Communications, Digital Economy, and Renovation of Mali’s State Apparatus and other collaborates to visit the Park and announce the readiness for sending a team to Mali for a closer inspection of the potential areas for cooperation.”
Then, Mr. Hamadoun Touré, Minister of Communications, Digital Economy and Renovation of Mali’s State Apparatus, expressed his gratitude for the holding of the meeting and stated, “In the light of the given explanations and the current collaborations between Iran and Mali, and after reviewing further common fields, I’m certain that the two countries, based on their capacities and potentials, will have good cooperation with each other.”
based on the needs of his country for new technological domains such as ICT and Nano the Minister of Mali’s Communications and Digital Economy, called for the use of the Park’s capacities in the form of signing an MOU revolving around the main axes of education, transfer of technology and experience, purchase of equipment, etc.”
Mr. Hamadoun Touré also announced that the Iranian Embassy in Mali will convey his country’s needs and specific requirements in the field of Science and Technology Parks to ICT Park.
It must be noted that in addition to Dr. Mohammad Jafar Sadigh Damghanizadeh, Advisor to Minister and President of ICT Park, the following individuals were also present in this meeting:
