Initiation of System and Database for ICT Park’s Smart Greenhouse

ICT Park’s Smart Greenhouse has an area of about 500 square meters. This greenhouse uses the Internet of Things Technology (IOT) and thus can cultivate all kinds of products. The greenhouse is also capable of smart provision and adjustment of the environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, irrigation, etc.).

Mohammad Sheikh Sofla, Expert on ICT Park’s Smart Greenhouse, commented on the initiation of the greenhouse’s system and database and stated: “ ICT Park’s Smart Greenhouse is based on Internet of Things (IOT). For this purpose, all the parameters in this greenhouse should be controlled and monitored through the internet. Also, this way, a network of greenhouses can be controlled through the internet. 

Sheikh Sofla emphasized: “Through the installed sensors in the greenhouse , the system and the created database in this greenhouse are capable of recording all data and parameters every 10 seconds and then uploading them to the website.”

He continued: “It should be reminded that based on the recorded data and their analysis, certain applications can be designed to make smart adjustment of the greenhouse’s parameters such as the temperature, humidity, CO2, irrigation periods, and light intensity, according to the behavior and previous changes of the greenhouse.”

The expert on the Park’s Smart Greenhouse considered remote monitoring and control of the greenhouse as the ultimate goal for creating this website and said: “the condition of the operators such as the irrigation, heating, cooling, and humidification systems can also be viewed in the website. Additionally, it’s possible to turn on/off the operation systems or change the parameters’ values through the website.”
