A workshop on “how to offer ideas at dissertations pre-defense and defense sessions” was held by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology cooperation.

This workshop was hosted by ICT Park, with more than 500 participants from the core officials (Supervisors), Referees approved by ICT Park, and representatives of Grant’s applicant centers.

At the beginning of the workshop, Engr. Jafari, Director of Technology Development Centre and Consultant of TOD Network, gave his speech on how to offer Ideas “with a New Business Start-up approach” regarding the business arbitration system in the procedure of Sprout Grant.

Then, Dr. Seyyedzadeh, the person in charge of  ICT Park’s TOD network, contributed to the discussion on the adjudication manners of ideas by the referees in the field of business.

He remarked that 125 Referees from 27 centers participating in this call were selected by the “ICT Park’s Referees’ Competency Evaluation Committee.” He further added: “three business Referees approved by ICT park should take part in the dissertation’s pre-defense and defense meetings. Then, the proposed ideas be accepted by the Centers’ Admission Councils which are then  studied and finalized in the Park’s Admission Council based on the Referee s’ expert views.”

Dr. Seyyedzadeh also stated that the Workshop’s goal in this supportive program is to create a suitable foundation for changing (technological) ideas into products with “commercialization” capacities.

It should be noted that this workshop was held in Sky Room, and the applicants’ questions about the details of the Sprout Grant Program were answered at the end of the meeting.

Finally, it must be mentioned that this workshop is one of the prerequisites for the administrative procedure of the Sprout Grant Program, which was held during the Call for the first experiment.
