Opening of ICT Park’s branch in Mashhad by the Minister of Communication and Information Technology

During the opening ceremony of ICT Park’s branch in Mashhad, Minister of Communications and  Information Technology (ICT)  considered ICT Park as the innovation and technology pole in the East of the country and said: “ ICT park would be the center of transformation, service provision, job generation, and creation of hope for the youth. Also, the center would be the bright sun of the East of the country and neighboring countries in the region.”

Referring to ICT  Park’s active branches or those under inauguration, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology pointed out: “digital economy complexes have been established in Tehran and Mashhad in the form of Park’s activities. The Park’s Branch in Semnan is also ready for operation, and the Shiraz Branch is being set up.

He also remarked: “two of ICT Park’s branches are located in Mashhad, and the third one is also going to be inaugurated in the next couple of months.”

Azari Jahromi declared that the opening of these centers can be key factor in the transformation of service provision and said: “Mashhad has high capacities in the field of the digital economy and the opening of these centers plays an important role in the evolution of service provision, creating welfare for the people and also hope for the youth. It should be noted that the development of information technology in the country has tripled in the past four years.”

During his visits from the studios and shared workspaces of NITEC Creative House and Innovation in Digital Content, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology became familiarized with activities and services of all companies, startups, and the creative and innovative teams in the complex. He stated:   “the problems of the 21st century require the solutions of the time. In terms of communications and geographical position, Mashhad has high potentials, and the managers, with utmost generosity, should focus on increasing the productivity of the young generation.

He then emphasized: “of course, what Government has done is only to empower these bodies and to support them financially. However,  we are witnessing numerous outcomes and blessings.”

At the end of the ceremony and in the presence of Azari Jahromi, Dr. Mohammad Jafar Sadigh  Damghanizadeh signed MOUs with the country’s ICT guild organization and two Accelerators. These MOUs were signed in fulfillment of the slogan of the year 1400, i.e., the expansion of support, removal of obstacles, consolidation of in-between relations, and supporting the companies active in the field of new technologies.

In this ceremony, the Executive Director of the country’s Post, Governor of Khorasan Razavi, and the group of activists in the country’s technology and digital field were present.
