Start of the Construction of ICT Park’s Sari Branch with the Presence of the Governor of Mazandaran Province

Several other officials and provincial authorities of Mazandaran province and the senior officials of ICT Park were also present at the ceremony, which was held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

At the start of the ceremony, Dr. Fallah, the Administrator of Mazandaran’s Head Office of Communication and Information Technology, welcomed the guests and described ICT Park as a missing piece in the communication field of Mazandaran province.

He stated: “in the province’s Information Technology ecosystem, there was a big gap for linking the commercialization processes of technological activities, this   will now  be filled through the launching of ICT Park’s branch in the province.”

He further added: “the experiences of Dr. Sadigh and his efforts in the field of Park Administration has always been laudable and appreciated. Dr. Sadigh follows the affairs industriously, and hence we are hoping to witness the center’s inauguration ceremony in Sari city as soon as possible.”

After that, Dr. Sadigh, Advisor to the Minister of Communications and the Head of ICT Park, appreciated the hospitality of the people of Mazandaran province and expressed hope for the rapid establishment of the Park, considering it as an honor for himself and ICT Park’s Association. 

He additionally added: “the year 1400 (2021) is a happy and auspicious year, for its blessed with two Shaaban (Holy month before Ramedan) Eids and which will hopefully be an excellent year for us”.

The President of ICT Park added: “through the naming the new year by the country's Supreme Leader, the notion of removing obstacles and support was discussed. The important point in this regard is that we must provide the ground for work and activity of  private sectors, and our main purpose is to develop  small businesses. Our first focus is the field of “Space-Based Domain” that can have many functions in increasing the creation of wealth in the agricultural sector and confronting natural disasters.”

“But we will not stay confined to this area and will continue to work in two other areas,” he added. “First, the production and export of the cultural content that has created wealth for the country and establishing the country's authority. And the second activity is “cloud Services.”

Dr. Sadigh stated: “the original plan was to launch just one structure in this branch, but here I promise to build the second one and hope that both structures will be ready before termination of the present  Government. Meanwhile, the whole construction budget of the center has been already funded by the Park, as our approach is first to arrange  finance and then start the project.”

Regarding the differences between ICT Park and the Innovation Factory and other parks, he remarked: “the difference here is in our modus operandi.”

“ICT Park has the Park Administration Technology within itself, and our technology and methodology are what makes us different,” he added. “Our goal is not just to construct a building but to inaugurate an Ecosystem.”

Then, the Governor of Mazandaran Province, Ahmad Hossein Zadegan, wished all a happy  New Year and considered it as a year full of blessings. He wished for the well-being of all compatriots.

He went on to say: “Today, due to the actions taken, it is made possible for us to construct the ICT Park in Sari. Fortunately, in the province, we will simultaneously pursue the issue of the Innovation Factory and the construction of ICT Park seriously, with the help of the private sector.

“We always have enough physical space in the universities for allocating them to the Techno-companies. But, with regards to the talents and other abilities of the youth, this can be developed so that the young people would look for creativity and innovation and eventually transfer them to the market”, continued the Governor of Mazandaran.

“Production” and “Economy” have been selected for several years as the slogan of the Year by the Supreme Leader,” Hossein Zadegan said with regards to the naming of the year 1400 (2021). “But if a leap is going to be made by something other than the production of factories, we should look for Innovation, Marketing, Diversity, and Product Quality.”

And continued, pointing out some of the problems prevalent in the province, “we have some fundamental problems in the province. One of which is the lack of a link between the companies and the universities, as well as the absence of constructive interaction between the companies themselves, which can itself be the source of great events for the Province.”

He added: “our other shortcoming is that despite having companies capable of competing at the Provincial and even International level, we have not properly identified them nor have we  supported them financially or in terms of knowledge.”

According to the Governor, many of our fellow provincial citizens are working in other provinces like Tehran, and there is no connection between them and us. Thus, it is hoped and anticipated that this interaction would happen in the short run for Mazandaran province.

In the end, he concluded: “The Park’s output is very promising for us, and we hope to provide a suitable foundation for the talented young people in the province, via the support and assistance of the Ministry of Communication.”
