Dr. Isa Zarepour, Iran's Minister of Information and Communications Technology, on the occasion of Women and Mothers' Dignity Week, paid a visit to the Advisor for Women's Affairs in the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology and its subsidiary institutions and organizations besides a group of representatives active in the Ministry’s Women's Affairs section. Additionally, Ms. Zahra Sadat Seyedzadeh, Ms. Mehrnoosh Ahvazi, and Ms. Mina Rasti attended this meeting on behalf of ICT Park.
Zarepour appreciated the role of women in the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology whose representatives were present in this meeting: "In many departments of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology and subordinate institutions, women have significant roles and positions and play pivotal roles in reaching the current achievements," he said.
"Considering our belief in the role of women, we have paid special attention to maintain their dignity, especially in the case of married women with children who have a more challenging job due to their greater responsibilities toward their homes and families," he said.
"The plans are required to consider the presence of women in different workplaces, social arenas, and the general development of our country without causing any harm to family functions. This is an issue that demands serious attention and Iran's Youthful Population and Protection of the Family law was an effort in this regard with the aim of providing women with the required facilities," he explained.
"While providing the required grounds for women's activities in the society, we need to prevent any sort of harm to the main mission of women, which is to give priority to their family simultaneously giving importance to their profession.   At the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, we aim to follow this path", he said.
It should be noted that the ladies present in this meeting expressed their viewpoints, concerns, and requests too. In response, the Minister of Information and Communications Technology issued direct orders to facilitate some of them; additionally, the Ministry's Deputy for Human Capital Development and Resource Management was assigned to pursue their other demands too.
