Details About Constructing Isfahan's Fooladshahr's Data Center Pole Were Explained

The First Conference on Investment Opportunities of the National Information and Digital Economy Network in Iran's Data Centers was hosted by Isfahan and attended by Iran's Deputy-Minister of Information and Communications Technology and Isfahan’s Deputy-Governor on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023 at the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
At the outset of the First Conference on Investment Opportunities of the National Information and Digital Economy Network in Iran's Data Center, Eng. Akbar Ghanbarpour, Advisor to Minister and Acting President of the Information and Communication Technology Park, expressed his appreciation for holding this program and introduced Iran's three Data Center hubs: "According to the master plan of The National Information Network and the necessary assessments conducted with the support of National Center for Virtual Space, we have foreseen three hubs for the construction of Data Center Poles. The first hub is intended to be in the Payam Special Economic Zone. We are close to establishing a data center pole according to the intended plans. About 18 companies have invested in Payam Special Economic Zone and the Zone is provided with proper communication and energy infrastructures," he added. 
"Eighteen companies of Payam Special Economic Zone are specialized in establishing the intended Data Center hub. Each company represents a significant data center and provides different services, but besides them, there are other companies that work in the value chain of this concept, including companies that are engaged in the production of passive and active equipment, building data centers, maintaining spaces and providing facility services," the Acting President of the Information and Communication Technology Park stated. 
Eng. Akbar Ghanbarpour introduced the second hub to be Isfahan's Fooldshahr and continued: "The second point will be Isfahan's Fooldshahr that provides a suitable space for this conduct. Fooladshahr's Data Center Pole is considered as a branch of Information and Communication Technology Park and based on the intended plans, an ecosystem similar to Payam Special Economic Zone which will be designed in this area to stand as the Pole of Digital Economy. In a general sense, similar to what we experienced in Payam, a value chain of the information infrastructure network will be created in Fooladshahr. The third hub will be in Mashhad. 
"14 hectares out of the total area of Fooladshahr which is 105 hectares is intended as the starting point. We will allocate the land with the models that we intend to introduce so that the investors can have their own share properly. There are also 30,000 square meters of already-fully-built infrastructure that can be used by different companies. The digital economy staff empowerment program is also planned and proper equipment of which is available for educating and accommodating individuals. These options can be easily provided to companies," he pointed out in the end, referring to the facilities and conditions available in Fooladshahr's Data Center.
It should be noted that at the end of the conference, ICT Park's management team accompanied the financial supporters participating in this conference for a visit to the Fooladshahr site, ICT Park's branch in Isfahan.
