Grounds for bilateral cooperation between ICT Park and Khorugh State University of Tajikistan were evaluated

ICT Park's PR: A preliminary meeting was held on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, to discuss and identify areas of mutual cooperation between Khorugh State University and the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Park.

At the outset of the session, Dr. Abbas Ghanbari Baghestan, Advisor for ICT Park Communications and International Affairs, welcomed the attendees and introduced ICT Park: "ICT Park was established in 2017 as a national Park with an international vision under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Its primary goal is to support technology companies and businesses active in the ICT field. In recent years, ICT Park, with the goal of internationalization, has established effective relations with countries in the African region (Tunisia, Nigeria, Mali, Senegal, Algeria, etc.) and Asian countries such as Syria, Afghanistan, and Russia, some of which have led to the signing of cooperation agreements," he said.
Continuing, Communications and International Affairs Advisor of ICT Park stated: "Currently, ICT Park has three active branches in Iran. In the Alborz site, which is the main branch of the Park, the Mashhad, and in the Semnan site. Furthermore, ICT Park is in the process of establishing more branches in other provinces of Iran." 
In continuation, Ms. Afsaneh Mohammad Ayazova, Deputy Director of International Relations at Khorugh State University, introduced the colleagues present at the meeting and emphasized the importance of establishing relations between Khorugh State University and ICT Park: "Khorugh is the first university in the autonomous region of Badakhshan, providing valuable national and international services since its establishment, and graduating numerous specialists and experts. Currently, Khorugh State University has eight faculties, 19 educational departments, and more than 4,000 students. Khorugh University, as well as Tajikistan as a whole, require the development of information and communication technology. Therefore, we declare our readiness for mutual collaboration with ICT Park," she said.
Continuing, Ms. Mohammad Ayazova provided information about the facilities, grants, technologies, and innovation centers at the university: "Khorugh University and its Innovation Center are supported by the World Bank and the Ministry of Science of Tajikistan. These institutions provide support to students with innovative ideas in the field of launching new businesses," she said. 
Dr. Ghanbari Baghestan concluded by highlighting the importance of University Innovation Center and the possibility that it can become a focal point for collaboration between the two parties: "If Khorugh University's Innovation Center has thought-provoking ideas that can potentially become products in the future, ICT Park may be able to provide joint support for them," he noted.
At the end of the session, it was agreed that the Innovation Center of the university would share its new ideas in the field of ICT with ICT Park, opening avenues for further collaboration, particularly regarding the sale of products from the Park’s member companies in Tajikistan. 
It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, Ms. Afsaneh Mohammad Ayazova, Deputy Director of International Affairs at Khorugh State University; Ms. Lola Gulomadshova, Head of International Projects Group in the field of education at Khorugh State University; Ms. Mardonova Toji, International Projects Specialist in the field of education at Khorugh State University; Dr. Abbas Ghanbari-Baghestan, Communications and International Affairs Advisor of ICT Park; Ms. Mina Rasti, Public Relations and International Affairs Specialist, and Ms. Shiva Farzi, International Affairs Specialist at ICT Park, were present.
